Summer Camp overview
Every year, ISR offers Summer Camps for both Primary (3-11 yo) and Secondary (12-18 yo) children. Programs consist of developmentally appropriate activities including games, sports, outdoor exploration, field trips, art, music, language and culture experiences, and free play.
The Summer Camp usually runs for 3 weeks, between the end of June and mid July.
Both Summer Camps are run on our Primary Campus on Kalnciema iela 118.
Primary Summer Camp (3 to 11 years-old)
The Primary Summer Camp runs from 8:00 – 17:00. We welcome participants age 3 (children must be toilet trained) to 11 years old. The program is conducted in English and includes two field trips per week and daily hot lunch (morning and afternoon snacks should be provided by parents).
Primary Summer Camp participants have full use of the ISR Kalnciema iela 118 (K118) campus including playground, gym, library and classroom spaces. There is a wide range of fun, daily activities suitable for all ages: team building games, arts & crafts, cooking, outdoor sport activities, music, science, English language games, story reading, and more!
8:00 – 8:45: Arrival, free play
8:45 – 9:00: Camp meeting
9:00 – 10:30: Activity 1
10:30 – 11:00: Snack time
11:00 – 12:30: Activity 2
12:00: Lunch for preschool students
12:30 – 13:30: Lunch + break
12:30 – 14:30: Nap time for preschool students
13:30 – 15:00: Fun English or Sports (child’s choice)
15:00 – 15:30: Snack time
15:30 – 16:00: Camp meeting – reflection
16:00 – 17:00: Free choice activities
Secondary Summer Camp (12 to 18 years-old)
Aimed at teenagers aged 12 (Grade 6) to 18 years old (Grade 12), the Secondary Summer Camp is run by our international Secondary teachers and gives participants the opportunity to build their English, Maths and Science skills, play football, badminton, table tennis, create art and participate in various other activities while making new friends.
This camp aims to improve your child’s confidence in speaking and writing English, solving math problems, and scientific exploration and discovery. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and field trips.
The Summer Camp teachers provides an individual approach so all students will be engaged and spend valuable time, regardless of their level. The program is conducted in English and includes daily hot lunch (morning and afternoon snacks should be provided by parents).
