Voting for the AGM
In a separate email, this evening, each family will receive one voting link from ELECTION BUDDY, to the primary email address you have indicated to the school for correspondence.
Once you open this email, you will be able to immediately cast your votes.
Voting will remain open until 11:45pm tomorrow (Thursday) evening, April 23rd.
Votes for each family are weighted based on the number of children who attend the school. For example, if 3 children from one family attend ISR, you will receive only one invitation to vote, but each of your votes will be counted as 3
Only parents whose fees are paid up to date will receive the voting link
The AGM folder link was sent to all families by email. Please check.
The achievement of quorum will be determined by the number of ISR Members and/or Associate Members who participate in the AGM by registering their vote. So, it is important that the community use this opportunity to cast their votes
The AGM GOOGLE DRIVE FOLDER that includes all applications for the vacant Meeting of Representatives positions and Associate Member Representative position will remain open
If you are unable to locate the voting invitation, please contact the school at email@example.com
On behalf of the Meeting of Representatives and the Search Task Force, we are thrilled to announce that Mr Shane John Kellshas been chosen as ISR’s next Head of School. MofR was unanimous in its support of the Search Task Force enthusiastic recommendation of Shane, based on extensive and highly competitive international search process. Shane’s term will begin summer 2020.
With over decades of experience in different schools, Shane has served as an educator, administrator and leader.
Originally from Edmonton, Canada, Shane Kells grew up in many small communities throughout Alberta. Shane’s father was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and that saw his family moved often during his early life. Shane went to five Elementary Schools, and who knows, maybe part of that transitory upbringing has to do with his eventual life path in teaching overseas.
He has been in education for the past 30 years, 24 overseas (Thailand, UAE, China, Korea, India, Jamaica), 19 as an administrator and 13 as a Head of School (Utahloy International School Zeng-Cheng, Canadian International School, Bangalore, American International School of Kingston).
Shane with his family has lived in diverse international communities for the past 20 years and is well aware of the enormous benefits that are inherent in multicultural communities.
We believe Shane’s expertise in teaching and learning, his lifelong commitment to education, and his exceptional experience in leading schools in different countries make him the ideal person to lead ISR into our next chapter.
We would like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of Search Task to ensure a thorough and equitable search process. And we would like to thank all students, faculty, staff and parents, who provided such thoughtful feedback during the search. Your observations were heartfelt, insightful, and of great value in our search process.
This will be Craig’s last years as Head of ISR and over the coming months we are preparing events to both honor Craig and introduce Shane as Head of our school. We will share these arrangements with you.
Please join us in welcoming Shane, his wife Melanie and daughter Braelyn into their new place in our community.
