Students completing the necessary requirements for the AS/A Level Programme gain access to the most prestigious universities in the world. At the culmination of the 4-year High School programme students with sufficient credits also earn the ISR High School Diploma.
At ISR we support Latvian students in their preparation for national exams through the offering of courses in Latvian Language and Literature throughout high school. At the end of Grade 9 Latvian students write Latvian Language and Literature.
Should Latvian students decide to write the national exams at the end of Grade 12, Latvian Language and Literature is an extra course of study for those students. Also, the school will work with the specific student and help support them through this process, including exam subject choices to maximise success by the student.
And now, ISR is a candidate school* for the Diploma Programme. This school is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education – that we believe is important for our students.
* Only schools authorised by the IB Organisation can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorisation will be granted.
