PTO
The International School of Riga Parent Teacher Organization (ISR PTO), is a group of parents/guardians and teachers who volunteer their time and skills to work to bring the school community together! Parents/guardians and educators work together as the PTO to create a happy and successful school year beyond the academic studies of the students. The PTO brings fun activities and parental involvement to our wonderful school. The volunteers organize special events throughout the year, help families get involved to enrich the ISR community, to encourage friendship groups to enable people to settle happily in Latvia and add to the vibrant community atmosphere we all find at ISR.
The PTO provides opportunities for families to be involved, and teachers to have fun outlets to interact with parents and families on an informal basis. The PTO also works to keep the ISR community involved with the activities and interests in the city of Riga through local trips and charity events.
Within the school the PTO organizes a wide variety of activities, for example, Friday Coffee Mornings in the city center, Ice-cream days, museum visit, Family Fun Days, teacher and staff appreciation days to honor our faculty, Santa Visits with gifts, Winter Bazaar, Halloween activities, supports the school concerts, and many other activities. The PTO is always open to new volunteers and ideas, and we welcome you to join us anytime!
